Defined as a structure having roof and walls made from either plastic or glass, greenhouses heat up due to the generous amount of solar radiation that enters. There are those that are small while others are big. A green house though exists for a beneficial purpose especially in the area of agriculture. Crops can effectively grow within the structure which is a safer alternative because large pests can not enter.

Since green houses are enclosed where it is nearly impossible for large pests to enter, bumblebees are normally utilized as pollinators. Of course, fauna life has to exist because it is one of the essential sources of nourishment among human beings.

As the world is continually experiencing unpredictable changes in the weather considering that the environment is slowly depleting with issues such as global warming, greenhouses are highly acknowledged in countries that have high latitudes. The greenhouse is employed to increase the production of food particularly those that have to be planted on the soil. In the United States, one of the biggest greenhouses can be found in Willcox, Arizona. The two hundred acre property takes care of cucumbers and tomatoes. The vegetables are being grown inside a greenhouse entirely made of glass.

Today, modern agriculture has seen the importance of greenhouses because plants benefiting human beings can be more protected against the unpredictable changes of the weather. Crops can be sheltered from blizzards, storms and tornados which normally visit in an annual basis. The light that enters the greenhouse allows the soil to be more “arable” allowing more fauna life to survive. With that, not only will farmers experience the positive result but even the end consumers who are the human beings. Countries will no longer starve because of the continuous supply being taken cared of in the green houses.
