Backyard Games

If you are planning to include some backyard games during your son’s seventh birthday, those would definitely be a lot of fun. Ever since the past, there were already a lot of options to consider where backyard sports games serve as the most popular. That is because not only the little rascal boys can join but even the seemingly demure girls. Both parties can play backyard basketball game or backyard football game, for example, which would also depend on the collective interest of the majority. As the host, you should also consider the hobbies of the guests so that there will be no issue of oddity.

Backyard games, as the name suggests are games that have been said to start ever since the backyard existed. As what was mentioned earlier, backyard sports games are the most popular where a lot of the other ideas have taken root. Usually, the plainly- for- fun- contests need a single or double piece of device as well as a whole lot of space. If you have a huge lawn, by all means, you can stage a backyard basketball game or backyard football game. However, the plans that you have should be determined by how many guests are around. Remember both of the matches need equal number of players.

However, if you are not bent on backyard sport games that you think are highly physical for the children, there are still a lot of other interesting options available. There are backyard games that still involve the element of fun yet will not be entirely exhausting. You can by all means, play Fox and Geese; Swinging Statue; Red Light, Green Light; Red Rover and Hide and Seek, among the others. All these plainly- for- fun- contests do not need any piece of device but simply, the guests that are present in the party. Of course, their active participation will also count a lot so being the host, you have to come up with exciting ideas for them to be drawn.

Fox and Geese starts off by creating a big circle where players called as geese will march down over the middle. Eight spokes will placed at the anterior rim that seemingly establishes a pie with eight slices. In the other hand, there is an “it” called the fox who will remain in the middle as he or she is being marched around by the players on the boundary of the circle. Whenever any of the geese deem that he or she can get a spoke, he or she will attempt to lure the “it” to chase him or her. The fox can actually run after any of them. When the player is tagged, the “it” will bring him or back to the boundary of the circle considered as his or her den.

Red Light, Green Light is one of the backyard games that will allow all the guests to join. Make sure though that there are enough number of marshals to check on everyone. It starts by a leader positioned meters away from the players but still facing them. Whenever he or she will shout “green light,” it means they can run towards. For “yellow light,” it means that they can only walk. While “red light,” it means to stop. Whenever anybody will run on “yellow light” or make movements on “red light,” he or she can be eliminated. The first player who can reach the leader, is declared the winner.

Hide and Seek is undeniably a classic. Ask your great grandparents and they might give you a long narrative of their childhood memories where they still had all the energies to swiftly run about the vast fields. Anyhow, it starts by choosing an “it” who has to close his or her eyes. He or she then counts up to a hundred while the rest of the players will look for a place where they can stay in secret. When the “it” is finished counting, he or she will then look for the players. If he or she finds one, the name must be called out aloud and run fast back to the base. As for the rest, they should be careful not be spotted.

So, are you now all geared up for your son’s seventh birthday?
